Nesma Airlines adds new domestic route in Aug 2017

Saudi carrier Nesma Airlines late-last month launched additional domestic route, with the offering of Hail – Al-'Ula flight. Commenced on 23AUG17 with ATR72 aircraft, this route is served twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

El Al / Qantas codeshare partnership begins in Sep 2017

Qantas and El Al Israel Airlines earlier this week opened reservation for its planned codeshare partnership, set to commence on 12SEP17. Planned codeshare routes, available for bookings since 04SEP17, as follow.

Virgin Australia increases Hong Kong service from Nov 2017

Virgin Australia in the Northern winter 2017/18 season plans to increase the Melbourne – Hong Kong route, currently served five times a week. From 12NOV17, the overall service will increase to daily, on board Airbus A330-200 aircraft. As previously reported on Airlineroute, the airline will unify the operational schedule to la ate-morning departure from Melbourne from 29OCT17.

Malaysia Airlines NW17 Auckland schedule changes

Malaysia Airlines from January 2018 is unifying operational schedule on Kuala Lumpur – Auckland route, currently served on daily basis. Currently, 4 of 7 weekly flights departs Kuala Lumpur near midnight hours, departing Auckland in the afternoon hours.

From 15JAN18, the 7 weekly A330-300 service will depart KLIA in the morning, Night-time from Auckland.

Delta Airlines in the 2nd quarter of 2018 plans to operate Boeing 767-400ER aircraft on Atlanta – Phoenix route, scheduled once a day. Based on current listing, the 767-400ER will operate from 03APR18 to 07JUN18.

Avianca adds Bogota – Santa Cruz service from Oct 2017

Himalaya Airlines adds Dammam service from Sep 2017

Himalaya Airlines last week launched new service to Saudi Arabia, with the offering of Kathmandu – Dammam route, on board Airbus A320 aircraft. Service initially operates 3 times a week from 01SEP17 (Day 145 from KTM, Day 256 from DMM), and increases to daily from 09SEP17.

Air Canada in recent schedule update adjusted selected long-haul service from Montreal, mainly to the Middle East and Europe. Planned changes for summer 2018 season as follow.

Asiana Airlines yesterday made further adjustment to its planned Seoul Incheon – Tokyo Narita service, scheduled from 29OCT17. Latest adjustment, mainly focusing on aircraft changes, as follow.
 
OZ102/101 A380 replaces 777-200ER (Previously reported)
OZ106/105 767 replaces A321, except selected dates
OZ108/107 remains unchanged with A321

Previously reported on Airlineroute, the Star Alliance member will reduce this route from 4 to 3 daily from 29OCT17.

 

WOW air adds Dallas service from May 2018

WOW air yesterday announced another US route launch, which sees the airline operating Reykjavik Keflavik – Dallas/Ft. Worth route. This route will be served by A330-300 aircraft 3 times a week, starting 23MAY18.

Qatar Airways this week made additional changes to its October 2017 operation, effective from 01OCT17 to 31OCT17. Latest update as follow.

Doha – Berlin Tegel 777-300ER service, introduced from 01SEP17, is being extended until 31OCT17
Doha – Boston 787-8 replaces A350-900
Doha – Dallas/Ft. Worth A350-900 replaces 777-300ER from 01OCT17 to 31OCT17
Doha – Hong Kong 2 daily service operated by 777-300ER, replacing 787-8
Doha – Miami A350-900XWB service, introduced from 01SEP17, is being extended until 31OCT17

Other changes in effect for the month of September 2017 only, also extended until 31OCT17.

 

Lufthansa ends Doha service in late-Oct 2017

Lufthansa at the end of summer season is ending service to Qatar, as the airline closed bookings for Doha flight from 28OCT17. The Star Alliance member currently operates Frankfurt – Kuwait – Doha sector on daily basis, with A330-300 aircraft. Lufthansa will continue to operate Frankfurt – Kuwait sector.
