Posted 10 January 2018 14:10 Kenya Airways today (10JAN18) opened reservation for its planned nonstop service to the US, with the launch of Nairobi – New York JFK route. Scheduled to commence on 30OCT18, Boeing 787-8 aircraft will operate this nonstop route on daily basis. Following schedule is effective 04NOV18.

Posted 10 January 2018 13:50 Lufthansa during today’s schedule update (10JAN18) filed operational aircraft changes for its seasonal Munich – Vancouver route. From 01MAY18, the summer seasonal service will be operated by A350-900XWB on daily basis, replacing A330-300.

This 5 weekly service will continue to be served by Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, instead of previously filed A330-200. Note in the schedule listing, this route is listed as 7 weekly flights, however Tuesdays and Thursdays service is not available for bookings.

Initially reservation is only available at full-fare Business and Economy Class (morning hours in China as of 10JAN18), however all booking classes opened at evening hours.

Icelandair on Tuesday (09JAN18) announced additional service expansion to the US, becoming the first European carrier serving Kansas City. From 25MAY18 to 01OCT18, Boeing 757 aircraft will operate Reykjavik Keflavik – Kansas City route 3 times a week. Reservation for this first-ever Trans-Atlantic service from Kansas City is now available.
