This year World Routes makes its debut in the USA as senior network and business development executives, senior airline and airport management, tourism ministers and travel industry specialists, aircraft manufacturers and suppliers and members of the international, national, regional and aviation press will all meet at the Las Vegas Convention Centre in the in the world's entertainment capital for the 19th World Route Development Forum.
After a turbulent year or two for the industry the event will, once again, be the place to examine air services, find out about new market developments and get up-to-speed on the up-and-coming destinations. For airlines, airports, tourism authorities and other stakeholders, World Routes is the place to learn, to negotiate, to build relationships and to help shape your business so that it has the competitive edge it needs in the coming years to grow and thrive.

Las Vegas is one of the most exciting destinations in the world – and its airport plays a key role in facilitating tourism to the city, as its director Rosemary Vassiliadis explains. From 1997, Rosemary Vassiliadis was the Clark County Department of Aviation’s deputy director until, in June this year, she took over at McCarran International in Las Vegas from Randall Walker, who retired. The not to be missed event starts at 19:30 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. VisitEngland will be sponsoring a beach cabana at the Mandalay Bay Beach, serving specially designed cocktails to represent a selection of the country's regional airports. Cape Town International Airport (CTIA) has confirmed its intention to become an aerotropolis, after sharing its ten-year strategic plan to stakeholders last quarter. Owned by the Airports Company South Africa (ACSA), CTIA is the continent's third largest airport processing over 8 million passengers annually.
